Macy Miller’s Mini-Motives D.I.Y. Tiny House resources:

Macy-Miller-Tiny-House-2   my_own_private_idaho_white_gallery_kitchen

Say that three times fast!:) We are proud to call Macy a friend and gigantic inspiration of ours. After all, it was an in-person visit to pick her brain in Boise, ID that gave us the final boost of confidence to take on this project. Macy designed and built her own, iconic tiny house that she has been living in full time for 3 years now with her partner, two young children and Great Dane. Macy is a huge proponent of D.I.Y. tiny house projects and has provided some fantastic resources that are very helpful for prospective D.I.Y. builders. These resources including her own e-book, a very helpful set of e-courses and an extremely detailed building plan package that is full of 3-dimensional colored graphics and intricate peal away sections showing valuable construction procedures and systems design (like plumbing and propane piping) applicable to most tiny house builds.

Andrew and Gabrielle are two of the driving forces behind the D.I.Y.tiny house movement and were a valuable source of information for our personal build thanks to enlightening discussions and extensive blog content on their website. If you don’t recognize their names, you will recognize their hOMe and they offer an excellent D.I.Y construction ‘how to’ DVD video series as well as their quality tiny house floor plans that have been used as the base design for too many beautiful tiny homes to count since releasing them a couple years back. Those Building plans are also supplemented with a lot of extra information, including a meticulously compiled material list, tool list and 3D sketch-up model!
